“It’s-a-me, Mario!”

Now tell us you didn’t say that in the voice of Super Mario Bros.’ titular character. For the past 35 years, Mario, Luigi, and the rest of the Mushroom Kingdom have reigned supreme as de-facto mascots of Nintendo’s gaming empire. With so many titles and iterations under its belt, the classic franchise boasts some of the company’s best-selling hits, and games like Mario Kart and Super Mario Bros never see a dip in popularity.

To celebrate three and a half decades of the iconic series, Nintendo recently announced a huge lineup of new releases coming in the final months of 2020 and in early 2021. The most exciting details include a re-release of the iconic Game & Watch systems, which came out in 1980, and the new Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit bundles that can transform your home into a virtual reality Mario Kart game via your Nintendo Switch.

Pre-orders for the latter are currently unavailable (though product pages are live on Amazon), but there’s still plenty from the Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Celebration that you can pre-order now — such as the new Nintendo Switch game Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. The title is the Switch’s take on the previous Super Mario 3D World for the Wii U; more details on the game are yet to come, but Nintendo did reveal one big update: the addition of multiplayer mode.

Aside from Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, the most exciting game announcement has to be Super Mario 3D All-Stars. This title combines three previous games — 1996’s Super Mario 64 for the Nintendo 64, 2002’s Super Mario Sunshine for the GameCube, and 2007’s Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii — into one for the Switch, with seriously elevated resolutions compared to their previous platforms. Shoppers can pre-order the game on Amazon, but there’s a catch: Super Mario 3D All-Stars is a limited-time release, and fans will only have until March 31, 2021 to grab it.

Those who don’t have a Nintendo Switch can purchase other types of games, like a Super Mario Celebration Monopoly from Hasbro and themed Lego sets. There’s even a Monopoly set that’s exclusive to Amazon.
