Traveling With Your Family This Holiday Season? Then You’re Definitely Going To Want To Check Out These Tips From Travelzoo

The holidays are a wonderful time of year, but they can also be stressful. Between picking the right gifts (for everyone on your list), cooking, decorating, prepping, many families also travel for the holidays which can add another layer of stress!

Thankfully, sites like Travelzoo make planning trips with your family a breeze. Whether you’re ditching the cold weather for warm, sunny beaches, or making the mandatory, yearly trip to see the in-laws, the Travelzoo has got all your travel needs covered.

Travelzoo‘s Senior Editor, Gabe Saglie, even provided us with some amazing tips for traveling this holiday season. As for the best day, Saglie recommends ditching Black Friday shopping in lieu of booking return travel. “The best day to travel during Thanksgiving weekend will be Friday Nov. 29, when shoppers are hitting the mall and everyone else is sleeping off the tryptophan,” he said.

If you’re worries that Mother Nature may derail your trip, “Connect south,” says Saglie. “If you are connecting (one-stop flights are often cheaper than nonstop), consider a southern airport… Houston, for example, over Denver or Chicago.”

Saglie also suggests finalizing all your holiday prep once you reach your final destination. ” Wrap there,” he says regarding presents.”If anything looks suspicious in your carry on (even if it’s a toy), security may unwrap it… better to wrap your gifts a your destination.”
